Frank Goss Named 66th Grand Marshal of the Penn Valley Rodeo
The Penn Valley Rodeo is proud to honor Frank Goss as the 66th Grand Marshal, celebrating a man whose energy, heart, and unwavering commitment have left a lasting mark on the community.
Frank Goss first discovered Penn Valley when he and his wife Vicky visited for a family reunion—an emotional gathering that marked the first time Frank had met all of his siblings after 51 years apart. It was during that visit that they fell in love with the scenic charm and close-knit spirit of the area. Soon after, they made the move to Lake Wildwood to be closer to Frank’s sister and her husband, embracing their new community with open hearts and eager hands.
Never ones to sit on the sidelines, Frank and Vicki quickly immersed themselves in local life. From the Lake Wildwood Little Theatre and the Women’s Choir to the Penn Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Breakfast Club, the Goss’s brought their passion for people and service wherever they went.
Frank’s community spirit found a natural home with the Penn Valley Rodeo. As a dedicated volunteer and leader on the sponsorship team, he works tirelessly to help ensure the event’s continued success—not just as a beloved tradition, but as a vital force for good in the community.
Beyond the rodeo grounds, Frank’s impact continues to grow. As President of the Penn Valley Community Foundation, he is spearheading the development of a 10,000 square foot community center—an ambitious project that will provide essential resources, space, and opportunities for generations to come. Frank is excited to welcome the community to attend the 4th annual dinner dance fundraiser for the Penn Valley Community Foundation on September 20th: Black Hats and Silver Buckles, featuring a gourmet dinner; music by Robbie James and the Streets of Bakersfield and a silent auction, at the Penn Valley Rodeo Grounds.
With a servant’s heart and a visionary’s drive, Frank Goss exemplifies what it means to be a Grand Marshal: a community leader, a connector, and a friend to all. We thank Frank for his unwavering dedication and congratulate him on this well-deserved honor.
